Aguirre State Forest is a 2,393-acre coastal reserve located on the south coast between Guayama and Santa Isabel, established in 1918 to protect extensive mangrove forests around Jobos Bay. It is home to 13 reptile species, 4 amphibian species, and 184 bird species, and retains historic infrastructure from the sugar industry. It offers hiking, bird watching, kayaking, and camping.
