Cibuco Historical and Tourism Center
Corozal
Cibuco Historical and Tourism Center is a 50-acre estate in the Cibuco ward of Corozal dedicated to preserving early 20th-century Puerto Rican culture. The property belonged to Genaro Bou Galí and his wife Carmen López, who cultivated sugar cane and pineapple and produced the famous melao cibuco syrup. The hacienda was built in 1936 and named Aurora after their only daughter. It offers guided tours including the Casa Museo Aurora (a 1940 structure), a sugar history room with various trapiche mills where visitors can taste fresh cane syrup, an audiovisual room, a petroglyph area, an artisanal walk, an artificial lake with paddle boats, and an ecological trail. Open Thursday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; tours until 4:00 PM.
