Guajataka Scout Reservation
San Sebastián
Scout reservation established in 1938 in San Sebastián, bordering the southern shore of Guajataca Lake at roughly 200 m elevation. Known as the «Sanctuary of Friendship», it covers over 300 acres of tropical forest home to more than 60 bird species and 50 tree species. Offers hiking and backpacking routes, canoeing on the lake and the Guajataca River canyon, rappelling, and a COPE challenge course.
