William Miranda Marín Botanical and Cultural Garden
Caguas
The William Miranda Marín Botanical and Cultural Garden is a living museum in Caguas that celebrates Puerto Rican culture in relation to nature and tropical agriculture. Set alongside the Río Cagüitas, the grounds preserve several layered eras of history: pre-Columbian Taíno petroglyphs, the ruins of the Spanish colonial-era San José sugar mill, and a former African slave quarters structure. Its trails and gardens showcase native and endemic Puerto Rican trees and fruit plants. The site offers guided tours, educational activities, special events, and the on-site restaurant La Jardinera Bistro Criollo.
