Santa Isabel

Punta Petronas Nature Reserve is a coastal protected area located in the Felicia 1 district of Santa Isabel on Puerto Rico's south coast, bordered by Rincón Bay to the east and the Caja de Muertos bight to the west. The reserve protects a mangrove forest system surrounded by small cays —Cayos Caracoles, Cayos Cabezazos, and Cayo Alfeñique— and ecologically significant coral reefs. The area provides habitat for West Indian manatees (Trichechus manatus) and is frequented by sea turtles. Classified under IUCN Category V (protected landscape/seascape) and managed by the Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Environmental Resources, it forms part of the Aguirre State Forest system. Access is by private boat from the Jauca and El Malecón areas of Santa Isabel.
