Punta Borinquén Recreational and Natural Area encompasses approximately 642 acres of ecological, coastal, and recreational corridor in northwestern Puerto Rico. Managed by Rescate Playas Borinquén Inc. in collaboration with the community and government agencies, the area interweaves the military history of the former Ramey Air Force Base with impressive biodiversity. It stretches along the coastline, connecting beaches of high ecological and sporting value such as Surfer's Beach, Borinquén Beach, Survival Beach, and Wilderness, as well as important historical heritage sites including the ruins of the old Spanish Punta Borinquén Lighthouse. The corridor features a network of natural trails ideal for hiking, mountain biking (MTB), and birdwatching, with terrain ranging from accessible flat paths to challenging trails along cliffs and forested areas. Ramey Central Park serves as a community recreational and family gathering point, with green spaces and a walking circuit of approximately 0.8 miles, complementing the recreational offerings alongside the Aguadilla Skate & Splash Park.
