Susúa State Forest

Sabana Grande

Susúa State Forest is a 1,400-acre forest in the southeastern foothills of the Cordillera Central in Sabana Grande and Yauco, proclaimed a forest reserve in 1935. It is critical habitat for the endangered Puerto Rican nightjar and functions as an ecological corridor between Guánica dry forest and Maricao State Forest. It offers hiking, bird watching, and lookout points with sweeping views of the southwest coast.
