Toro Negro State Forest is a 7,000-acre cloud forest in the heart of the Cordillera Central, spanning Jayuya, Ponce, Orocovis, Juana Díaz, and Ciales, established in 1935 within the former Caribbean National Forest. It contains Cerro de Punta, Puerto Rico's highest peak at 1,338 meters (4,389 feet), along with nine rivers, waterfalls, and natural swimming pools. It offers 18 km of trails, camping areas, picnic zones, and an observation tower.
