Scouts and leaders from Troop 808 set out on an unforgettable hike through Toro Negro State Forest, the cloud forest that crowns Puerto Rico's Cordillera Central. Surrounded by towering trees and cool mountain air, the troop made their way along trails filled with the lush vegetation typical of one of the island's most unique ecosystems.


As the group climbed higher, a light fog began to settle over the trail, giving the hike an almost magical feel. The mist drifted between the trees and softened the landscape, a reminder of why Toro Negro is known as a true cloud forest.


Beyond the physical challenge, the experience strengthened the team spirit and appreciation for nature that defines the Scouting program: hiking together, caring for the environment, and creating memories that last long after coming down the mountain.
