Scout from Guaynabo Completes Eagle Service Project at La Marquesa Forest Park
La Marquesa Forest Park was the setting for an environmental stewardship and community service initiative as Efraín Junior Torres, a Scout with Tropa 240 in Guaynabo, dedicated his efforts to completing his service project toward earning the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouting America.
As part of his project, Efraín Junior worked tirelessly alongside his family and a group of volunteers to install and rebuild nests for the birds living in the park’s aviary. This initiative helps improve their surroundings and promote a safer, more suitable habitat for the birds’ well-being.
His efforts reflect the fundamental values of Scouting: leadership, responsibility, service to the community, and respect for nature. Through this project, Efraín Junior demonstrates how a young person’s commitment, combined with family support and volunteer collaboration, can make a positive impact on the community.
Congratulations to Efraín Junior and his family on this important achievement! Their dedication and compassion for the well-being of the birds exemplify the spirit of service that distinguishes our Scouts and demonstrate how youth leadership can help protect and preserve our natural environment.
