Scouting America units across Puerto Rico actively joined the annual "Día Nacional de Limpieza de Playas" (National Beach Cleanup Day) on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Demonstrating their core value of community service, scouts teamed up with municipal governments and local environmental organizations, including the island's primary coordinator, Scuba Dogs Society. This local mobilization is part of the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC), a global conservation effort spearheaded by Ocean Conservancy to protect marine ecosystems from pollution.
