1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using veredaspr.org (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site. These Terms apply to all visitors and users of the Site.
This Site is operated by the Scouting America Puerto Rico Council, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 66-0201809) and a local council of Scouting America.
2. Permitted Use
You may use this Site for personal, non-commercial informational purposes. You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest content from the Site using automated tools without prior permission.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its infrastructure.
- Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code through the Site.
- Reproduce or distribute Site content without prior written permission.
We reserve the right to terminate access to the Site for users who violate these Terms.
3. Trail Data and Disclaimer
Trail and route data is sourced primarily from the OpenStreetMap project and other public sources. VeredasPR and the Scouting America Puerto Rico Council make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of this information. Data may contain errors or be out of date. Always verify trail conditions before beginning any outdoor activity.
Inclusion of a trail in this directory does not imply that VeredasPR or the Scouting America Puerto Rico Council endorses that trail, guarantees its safety or accessibility, or has any affiliation with the organizations or entities that manage it.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VeredasPR cannot and does not assume responsibility for any personal injury, death, or property damage resulting from use of the information provided through the Site. Any reliance you place on such information is strictly at your own risk.
4. Outdoor Safety
Outdoor activities carry inherent risks. Before setting out on any trail, check current conditions, carry adequate water and gear, inform someone of your itinerary, and keep local emergency numbers accessible. Original text, images, logos, and designs on this Site are the property of the Scouting America Puerto Rico Council and/or Scouting America, and are protected by U.S. and international copyright law. Scouting ranks, emblems, and brand marks are registered trademarks of Scouting America and may not be used without express written permission.
Trail data is subject to the Open Database License (ODbL) of OpenStreetMap. You may print or download pages from this Site solely for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not modify the content and retain all copyright notices.
6. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to external websites. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content or practices of any third-party sites. Visiting external links is at your own risk.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
This Site is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content on the Site. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Scouting America Puerto Rico Council and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use this Site or its content, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. "Locate Me" Feature
The Site's interactive map includes an optional "Locate Me" feature that, when activated, requests access to your device's geographic location through the browser's Geolocation API. Use of this feature is entirely voluntary.
- Consent: Your browser will prompt you for explicit permission before accessing your location. You may deny permission at any time without affecting any other functionality of the Site.
- Use of data: Location information is used solely to display your approximate position on the Site's map. We do not store, transmit, or share your location data with third parties.
- Local processing: Your location is processed entirely on your device and within your browser. Geolocation data is not sent to our servers.
- Retention: Location data is not retained once you leave the page or refresh your browser.

11. Cookies and Local Storage
This Site uses browser local storage to remember your unit preference (km/mi) and to enable basic site functionality. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes. You can clear local storage data in your browser settings; however, some preferences may reset to their defaults.

This Site is intended as a general information resource and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.
