Description

Angelito Trail is a short, family-friendly 0.2-mile route in El Yunque National Forest that descends 132 feet through lower montane Tabonuco forest to the banks of the Río Mameyes, a federally designated Wild and Scenic River. The trail leads to Las Damas pool, a popular swimming spot. The sound of rushing water guides hikers as they approach the river. Flash flooding can occur unexpectedly; check current conditions before visiting.
