Linear promenade opened in the early 2000s. It runs alongside Highway PR-187 for eleven kilometers, from the Paseadora area in Boca de Cangrejos to the Monte Grande sector of Loíza, passing through the La Torre, Torrecillas, and Piñones sectors. The route follows the coast and the Piñones State Forest, offering views of its flora and fauna alongside kiosks serving Loíza's traditional cuisine.Joint Resolution No. 18 of February 21, 2023 officially designated the promenade as “Paseo Lineal Roberto Clemente Walker,” honoring the Puerto Rican baseball star who died on the night of December 31, 1972, when the plane carrying him with humanitarian aid for earthquake victims in Nicaragua crashed off this coast. His remains were never recovered. The Piñones community, together with the Corporación Piñones se Integra, had maintained and known the promenade by this name ever since, and the Legislative Assembly formally recognized the name the community already used.
