Description

Punta Borinquen Trail follows the dramatic limestone coastline of Aguadilla's northwestern tip, tracing the bluffs above the Atlantic where cliffs, sea caves, and reef-lined waters meet. The route passes the ruins of the original 1889 Punta Borinquen lighthouse before continuing to an overlook at the Punta Borinquen Observation Tower, with panoramic views of the ocean and coast. Along the way, hikers may spot seabirds, and occasionally sea turtles in the waters below, where coral reefs support a variety of reef fish just offshore.
