Description

The Vereda Cascada El Ancón (also known as Don Félix Berríos Trail) crosses agricultural and forested land in the Helechal barrio of Barranquitas, within the Cañón San Cristóbal Nature Reserve managed by Para la Naturaleza. The mostly sun-exposed path leads to an overlook with views into the canyon and of Salto El Ancón, a tall waterfall on the Usabón River seen from across the canyon wall. Hikers should bring a hat, sun protection, and plenty of water. Access is free and does not require a reservation.
