Description

Vereda Cerro Mime is a short but steep climb in Orocovis, in Puerto Rico's mountainous interior, taking roughly 20-30 minutes uphill at a steady pace. The trail starts as a wide dirt-and-rock road that ends at a gate, then continues over loose gravel and rock-scrambling sections, with steep drop-offs on both sides for most of the route. It features three peaks, with the second offering the best views. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes with good traction, water, snacks, and avoiding the hottest hours of the day are all recommended, given the physical effort required and full sun exposure. Access is private, through a property where a parking fee is charged.
