Description

The Vereda Charco El Ataúd is a short access trail off PR-522, in the Garzas barrio of Adjuntas, leading to a series of waterfalls and clear pools on the Río Garzas. The final descent to the main pool is steep and requires climbing down over rocks. As with any river or body of water surrounded by rock, wear footwear with good traction, check water depth before jumping or swimming, and avoid the area during or after rain, since flash floods can occur even if it isn't raining at the access point.
